IT services provider GFI Informatique has reported a 15% increase in revenue to €191.3ms ($297.19m) for the second quarter, driven by sales from Accovia, which it acquired earlier this year.
For the first half, the France-based company reported a 14% increase in revenue to €377.9m ($587.02m).
It said revenue from France grew 24% to €128.8m ($200.08m), while Spain/Portugal revenue fell 2% to €28.1m ($43.65m). Italy revenue fell 3% to €15.8m ($24.54m), while Northern Europe revenue rose 5% to €11.7m ($18.17m). Canada revenue increased 29% to €6m ($9.32m), while Morocco revenue fell 1% to €1m ($1.55m).
Jacques Tordjman, chairman and chief executive at GFI Informatique, said: "Business was very satisfactory for GFI Informatique in the second quarter of 2008, showing a strong acceleration in organic growth to 5.2%. Business momentum remained robust in France with 8.3% organic growth despite an unfavorable calendar effect comprising numerous public holidays. Management remains confident that it can meet its full-year 2008 growth targets, in line with its 2010 strategy plan, and deliver high organic growth."
